Logic Print Data Analysis Quick Guide In an economic environment as competitive as the current one, knowing our strengths and weaknesses is vital for the development of our company. Data analysis is a fundamental tool for this process of self-knowledge. The management software includes all the necessary data, but the data alone is not enough. In order for this data to become useful knowledge, it must undergo an analysis process. This guide presents a data analysis procedure with the following steps (and an example): Step 1 Choice of data tables In the first step, the table or tables that contain the data that interests us must be identified: work orders, invoices, budgets, work parts, warehouse materials, item movements, purchase orders, customer and supplier files, operations analysis table, etc. Some of these tables can be combined with other tables through the link "Show additional columns". The use of additional columns substantially increases the number of reports and analysis possibilities. Step 2 Selection of the lines to analyze In the second step, the lines to be included in the analysis must be selected: All available lines or a selection? The lines corresponding to a specific customer or product? The lines included in a date range? The lines corresponding to an area or population? This selection can be made by filtering the table with one or more search terms and pressing the "Search" button, or it can be done by multi-selecting the lines that interest us in the table. Previously, multi-selection can be facilitated by ordering the table by the column that interests us (by clicking on its header). To multi-select lines, simply select the first one and, holding down the shift key, select the last one. Non-adjacent lines can be multi-selected by holding down the Ctrol key. Step 3 Analysis Once we have selected or filtered the lines that interest us, we open the analysis tool by clicking on the link "Analysis and reporting tool". The available reports for the current table and columns are displayed on the left. You only have to browse the reports to answer questions such as the following: What are the products in which we obtain the highest profitability? Which are the customers that have given us the highest volume of profit? And the customers that have been more profitable? What are the agents who make clients more profitable? What are the trends? Example Let's see an example of analysis to answer one of these questions: What are the products in which we obtain greater profitability? We apply the steps described: Step 1 Choice of data tables The profit percentages are in the work order table, so we open it by clicking on "Check work orders". In this case we are going to use the link "Show additional columns": we click, check all boxes and press OK. New columns are added to the table. Step 2 Selection of the lines to analyze In the second step,
the WOs (work orders) to be included in the analysis must be
selected. If you still have few WOs created, as in the trial
version sample data, you can leave all WOs displayed.
If you have been using the software for a long time and have a
large number of WOs, you can only show the most recent
ones, or choose the value Or, as previously discussed, you can sort the table and multi-select the WOs that interest you, for example: sort by date and select the WOs for the last quarter. Step 3 Analysis Once we have selected or filtered the WOs that interest us, we open the analysis tool by clicking on the link "Analysis and reporting tool". The available reports are shown on the left side. In the group "Analysis of the % PRF." we have the report "Average of % PRF. by Product". We press it and we are shown the list of products with their profitability (average profit percentage). The products where we are most profitable are shown first (and finally the products where we are weakest). In the report tree on the left you can discover which are the most profitable (and least) customers, agents or sectors. You can identify the resources, customers, agents or products that generate the highest volume of profit and activity. You can detect market trends for different sectors, products or areas (up and down). Among all the tables, more than 2200 agile and direct reports are offered.
